AMMO SKIN is a high-performance paint sealant engineered to bond to the surface, forming a durable protective layer that enhances depth, clarity, and resistance to the elements.
After the surface has been properly washed and prepared, SKIN locks in the finish—shielding it from UV exposure, environmental contamination, and the slow degradation that dulls paint over time.
This is not a temporary shine.
This is structure. Skipping this step leaves the surface exposed. This is the difference between a car that looks good, and one that stays that way.
1. Paint must be clean, dry, and cool. Skin is optimized for gloss clear coat or single stage paint. Avoid applying to matte or satin finishes.
2. Apply out of direct sunlight, one panel at a time.
3. After 1-3 minutes, remove with a microfiber towel and start the next panel.
4. Skin can also be applied with DA Polisher and Wafl Finishing Pad. Prime the pad with Skin and add a few dots of Skin per panel. Apply to the panel evenly on low speed with overlapping passes. Buff off thoroughly.
Skin is a cleaner sealant that contains ultra light abrasives to safely refine the paint finish while leaving behind durable protection. Carnauba wax is typically softer and doesn't last as long, whereas ceramics require much more prep to apply. Skin is in between a wax and ceramic with respect to longevity and ease of use. Skin offers 4-6 months protection if maintained correctly. This is a non-permanent layer of protection that is very popular for longer-term DIY paint protection.
4-6 months dependent on how often the vehicle is driven and how the paint is maintained in between applications. Quarterly application is a good rule of thumb. Skin can be layered for additional durability and paint depth.
Yes, Skin can be applied by and one panel at a time over an existing coating layer.
Wash with a pH neutral soap like AMMO Foam. Dry with AMMO Hydrate. This will maintain the longevity of the protection.
Yes, apply and buff off Skin, then allow 3 hours bonding time (overnight is best) then reapply a thin 2nd layer of Skin over the existing.
I used Skin after a thorough clean and clay and the result was exactly what I was after. Excellent gloss and silky smooth to the touch! Skin is also very easy to apply and wipe clean with minimal effort. Dust, dirt, and pollen don't build up like they used to and wash off much easier. This will be my go-to sealant from now on. I can see why Larry still offers Skin along side his other more permanent coatings.

Great Protection
I wanted something that gave longer protection than a wax but wasn't ready to go ceramic. AMMO SKIN DEFENSE SEAL application was pretty easy to apply and buff. I followed up with a non-AMMO carnauba paste wax. The car is so much easier to clean now, and the gloss is great. I'm sure the carnauba has worn off and it's still easy to clean. I'm going to start an incorporate REFLEX PRO TOP COAT into my regimen for even longer protection. Like Larry says, build up those layers of protection. He's right! One day I will start over with REFLEX PRO II ENAMEL COAT but its not in my budget at this time so Im sticking with SKIN DEFENSE SEAL for now.

Damn
I used this on my car after a lengthy multi stage paint correction. I'm still in awe with how good it looks. I actually like my car now. It was a turd now it's a polished turd. Thanks Larry for making car not look so terrible!
Paint is Ford Onyx Black Metallic. Didn't know it had so much flake.
